Smart Switch Academy collects and uses information to help people discover programmes, register for webinars, apply, enrol, learn, and receive support. We aim to collect only what is reasonably needed for the stated academy purpose.
Information we may collect
This may include account and contact details, application answers, programme interests, guardian relationship information where applicable, learning activity, support conversations, and documents submitted through secure academy workflows.
Children, guardians, and adult learners
Young learner information is handled with additional care. Where a guardian relationship is required, access is limited to the verified relationship and the information needed for the permitted purpose. Adult learners manage their own account and consent choices.
Private documents and public showcases
Application documents and identity images are private by default. Public showcase content is separate and requires appropriate consent and editorial approval. Withdrawing publicity consent should remove the affected content from public display after processing.
Security and retention
We use access controls, private storage, audit records, and operational safeguards appropriate to the information handled. Retention periods depend on the purpose and applicable academy policy. Do not send passports, passwords, or payment details through public enquiries or social media.
